Synopsis

A young paladin, Deane goes on a quest to discover what has become of his older brother, the druid, Shiva, who embarked on the quest of the Avatar some years ago. Along the way he meets a variety of new friends and eventually comes to learn the truth about who he is and what he is fated to become.

A serviceable manga for 10-year-old kids obsessed with Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar (a 1985 CRPG masterpiece), a respectable target audience back in the eighties but non-existent today.

If you're young enough you could enjoy this short shounen story, don't get me wrong, as it's adventurous, well drawn, and kind of cute. Unfortunately though this is just too juvenile and generic for grown ups, while adding nothing of value to the Ultima universe. It is a short story though, so you won't lose too much time reading this.

Also, they've turned good old Iolo into a cute waifu, which is beyond funny.
