Fujima Taisei is a high schooler who had grown up spoiled by the people around him ever since he was little because of his pretty face. In his pleasant school life, there was only one time that had become the only stain in his life, when a student named Okachi Machi, whom Taisei had grown close to in order to get others' attention, had told him that actually he had never been his friend at all. Now Taisei wants revenge. What will happen these two?!
Oh my goshhh!!! I wasn't expecting this BL to be so cute but omg it's just so adorable it has really become one of my most favorite BLs to read hahaha.
The story is really rather not all that special. It's basically about this really prideful pretty boy named Taisei, who, during middle school befriended this sort of aloof guy named Okachi, or so he thought. It turns out that Okachi never considered him a friend, and being the prideful pretty boy that he is, Taisei took it really hard. His pride was like practically shattered. So then now that he's in highschool all of a
sudden Okachi transferred to their class and he pretty much swears revenge and all that jazz. From there you can pretty much almost predict the ending, because the characters are sort of readable. But I don't mind this at all because it's such an enjoyable read and it has so many cute moments! Omg I'm such a sucker for mushy gushy stuff haha.
As for character, Taisei is as I've said takes a lot of pride in his pretty face. Pride is probably most important to him. He's also a very funny, the kind that likes to goof around and acts all high and mighty like. He doesn't really work hard for anything, and uses his pretty face to manipulate others. He also likes to get worked up over things a lot, for example his friendship with Okachi, and this makes him really adorable in a sense? Lol can't explain it well you'll have to read it to know. Okachi is your average, aloof sorta mysterious, emotionless guy. I swear his face does not have a speck of emotion of any sort of expression. He keeps his face always serious and straight, and actually he's a pretty serious person. He's also really weird that way but I find it pretty cute. Anyways you have these two characters and just from reading the first chapter you can already pretty much figure out what's going to go down haha.
The art style is pretty average I guess? But I really liked the perspectives and angles the mangaka drew from. A lot of times the panels and stuff flowed really well and I really felt I was able to watch the scenes taking place, like wow it was really believable. But yeah it seems that the mangaka has a nice control of expressing her art so that's a plus! The art style gets really adorable really fast.
Well anyways you probably already know that I highly enjoyed this manga. Man a lot of times I was just holding my face and squealing and being all like omggg just just omg I can't I just can't they're too cute. U v U;;;
But yeah I recommend this to you if you haven't read it before! It's only 3 chapters which is not a huge commitment and it's really adorable! :>
A light, comedic series that certainly leaves an impression, however average the overall manga is.
The average rating of this manga stems from the fact that it is like every other generic yaoi series. The story is basic and linear but is saved from the humorous interactions between its characters.
Fushimi is a pretty boy, a wimp almost and gets along with everyone in the series. He contrasts widely with Okachimachi who is tall, quiet and unfocused most of the time. The character development is almost minimal and their exchange of interaction is rather limited sometimes with several snips of memorable scenes that portray their
relationship, a rather repetitive exercise. However, these moments seem to create an 'aww' impression of their quick developing relationship. Okachimachi himself doesn't interact much but his gestures and eye movements speak more than you will know.
Overall, a good read for laughs but not for those who are looking for a more solid story.
Story and Character: 6/10
It's a pretty cliched scenario - the meet-again-school-boys story.
The characters are also pretty cliche, but somehow when you smash together the cliche story line and the cliche characters you get something pretty good.
Perhaps the thing that pulls this manga all together is the art. I really love this art style, and it's one of the elements of this manga that elicited laughs and tears out me as I read. If you're not reading for the story or the characters, read for the art or....
....the humor. By creating caricatures of the kind of people and events you and I might see
everyday, this manga pulled a few laughs out of me. It's also very heart-breaking at times, though a nice kind of heart-breaking. It's short so far, but the second chapter ends on a (sort of?) satisfying note that still draws readers back.
Worth the read. It also won't take that much of your time, so I suggest you read all two chapters and bookmark it for a later day in case anymore chapters come out.
