Both stories seem to be the same and have the same kind of feel to it, its starts out with a girl pissed off and wanting to pretty much bully the weaker person and then the whole class startes to join in and falsely blames the main character.

- Same dramatic and serious ambiance : Life deal about auto-mutilation and suicid though, then Virgin bitter talk about rapes, and sexual abuses (pedophelia) - Ijime, bullying, both protagonists must bearing it. - Romance : Life is softest than Virgin bitter.

Both of these books is about school girls who feels very bad. While Confidential Confessions is about many girls with different problems (rape, stalkers, bullies, drugs, suicide thoughts...) Life is about one girl who have a lot of problems! The reality in both seems very harsh and dark, but also contains episodes of happiness, courage and friendship. It also shows how people can still carry on in very hard times.

Both manga show the different sides of friendship and how there are people who may seem close or loyal to you, but have a much darker side. It also emphasized how true friendship exists, but is hard to find, and how it can sometimes save people.

Both are about bullying, though LIFE also touches the topic of self-harm.
reportRecommended by CrimsonRose40
Both deal in school related setting as well as lots of touchy shit that aren't exactly for the faint of heart and also the themes of friendships as well too.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
There are a lot of similarities too; He Dedicated to roses and LIFE, the theme first of all. (Rich girl that gives no cares to someone elses life tricks a girl into doing whatever they want, then Girl finds a way to become stronger) and then the chararcters in both manga's seem a lot alike. For example: (LIFE) Manami is a lot like- (He Dedicated to roses) Mini (LIFE) Ayumu is a lot like- (He Dedicated to roses)Ida and so on....

Both about bullying in high school however Pika Ichi involves comedy and some romance. Strong characters. Great art work

Both are shoujo manga which have psychotic characters and group mentality that leads to some really bad occurrences.

If you read Koe no Katachi you might find LIFE to be similar. LIFE is a completed mature shoujo that is about extreme bullying, so the bullying in it goes beyond what is shown in Koe no Katachi and it is more violent and there is no real reason for it. It has less redemption for the bully as she said she chooses her victims just because it is fun for her and truly is more psychotic and yandere than just a bully. But if you are looking for other mangas to read about bullying you might give it  read more

Plenty of drama, an interesting cast of characters, and a great art style. The relationship between Ayumu and Miki reminds a lot of Hachi and Nana, and their encounters are both full of emotion: a kind-hearted but troubled girl (Hachi, depressed due to her numerous but unlucky love interests, & Ayumu, hopeless because of her being bullied) suddenly meets a cool, indipendent, strong and beautiful girl, and the two, who are the opposite of each other, become friends in a new school/city. Even if in different ways, both are mature series which are about lasting out in life.

Kind of a stretch lol, but both deal in bad guys meeting their downfall, romance and also touchy story themes as well too.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both focus on the upbringing of a certain person and the various hardships that they go through in life.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both stories are focused around the darker and more downbeat and somber side of growing up as a kid in their formative years.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
both focus on young female mcs as well as dealing with quite a bit of touchy story themes and nice art and character designs too.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
both stories focus around the dark side of school life that has a female mc in it, especially the bullying that happens throuhgout the story.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both mangas have some pretty intense psychological and horror elements to it as well as focusing on a female lead that was outcasted by their peers due to events that were beyond their control and also lots of really nasty narcissistic backstabbing characters too that eventually get whats coming to them.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both focus on abusive af relationships, gossip and also lot of drama in high school as well too.
reportRecommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Its not as drama filled as LIFE, but all the characters remind you of each other. Ayumu-Ageha, remind you of each other. Manami-Hana,* Hatori-Hayato, * Manami's friends-Ryuusei, * So, to sum it up all the chararcters and there roles seem to be alike.

Same mangaka, Keiko Suenobu, and a lot of similarities. Both are mature and dramatic series, and involve schoolgirls with either school or love problems and their efforts to solve them. Happy Tomorrow is made of only 4 chapters, while Life is still on-going, anyway both are worth reading.

Same author. Drama, school, psychological, josei. Both are great mature stories, and the girls protagonists, whose life is a mess, get into difficult situations, but try to fight and to finally reach happiness. Both manga show how classmates, especially girls, can be mean. If you enjoyed one you totally must read the other too.

Basically, both manga narrate of school life, and are great at doing so. Even though Karekano is more romantic, while Life focuses on friendship, both series have lots of character development. Life is a strong, shocking psychological drama and has very few light-hearted moments, but Karekano also gets pretty dramatic and serious at times. Plus, the subject of bullism is touched in both series (constantly in Life, only for a short time in Karekano). Both manga have impressive art styles and are totally worth reading. If you're sick of dull, overused, happy-go-lucky shoujo manga, try these two.

Both are about the problems life (especially school) can bring. X-Day shows the problems of four different persons, while Life focuses on one girl with a lot of problems.

Life is a bit more extreme than Koizora, but there's a lot of drama and boy trouble. Both are very good reads.
reportRecommended by star_lit
Both deal with hardships and they both spoke to me but Life is a a lot more dramatic but if your up for a long read Life is good and they are both worth reading
reportRecommended by diamondreamer
The only real simialrity to Kimi ga Uso Wo Tsuita and LIFE is the subject in lying, and the drama that follows it.
reportRecommended by huruki
Same feel, Both stories Bullying to the extreme over some kind of misunderstanding in romantic gesture(s) (but LIFE's a lot more dark.)
reportRecommended by huruki
Pretty much the same story, Girl tries to help a friend, friend back stabs them over a guy, and then turns around and tells the whole school a lying story making them out to be the bad guy and then bullies them until they see fit.
reportRecommended by huruki
Both manga have the same realistic feel, and sense of despair. A lot of drama and heartache, and a seemingly endless cycle of one tragedy after another.
reportRecommended by CrimsonRose40
LIFE is way more intense but, My lovable fatty is alot alike. Startes out with Bullying until the main character finds a way to fight back.
