Preliminary Spoiler

Preliminary (5/46 chp)
Story: Very unique if going by the romance between a "chubby" girl and chubby maniac. It's not a pairing you often see in Asian comics as the majority of the homogenous cultures is very slim and an interest for seeing "heavier" sizes in shoujo is relatively low.

Art: The art is nothing special, but the lines are clean and the characters are cute. You can actually tell all of the characters apart, from our leading characters to the minor, one-page characters. It's not avant garde by any means, but is pleasing to the eye.

Character: Let me tell you this honestly. One of the reasons ...

It's a one of a kind that gives you warm fuzzy feelings. It's about a relationship between an unlikely couple that ends up leaving you feel happy and with a smile.

It's truly rare to find a Shojou manga about a protagonist who has a "considerable" amount of weight and a love life; which is why I give Pochamani many high marks.

The usual pretty/average girl meeting and falling in love with the guy does not happen here. Instead we have Tsumugi, the female protagonist whom is a "chubby girl" that is always happy. Her refreshing aura shocks those around her because of her physical figure. Tagami, the male lead also known as the "chubby maniac", is quite the unnatural character. He can only, and I repeat ONLY, love chubby women.

I think you know where this is ...

Preliminary (24/46 chp)
I think this would have been a cute series, if not for the main guy.
So this will mostly be a rant about him XD

In my opinion, I feel like this is more of an obsession then a romance.
And he's not really the nicest guy around, since it seems what he wants
in a girl is who fits his chubby fetish and is also easy.

Throughout what I've read he just seems to push his ideals and has to realize
that he's wrong, be it pushing his girlfriend to be even bigger or
telling people other people they will never be happy in their body if they ...

It's one of my favorite romance manga. I'm kinda picky when reading romance manga. All the characters are loveable. The idea and plot are interesting. I only ever found a few of romance manga with chubby MC. I really like the balance Mugi and Tagami create even though Tagami can be jealous sometime and Mugi can be dense at times too. However, both are quite mature to deal with it. And the way the mangaka creates Mugi's character is something I really love. How do I say it? It kinda feels like something that really happens in real life. Also, it's the first time I ...

Pochama ni tells the love story between Mugi, a fat girl, with her romantic partner who is considered a "Pochama" (the term refers to someone who likes soft and fluffy things). In other words, he has a preference for fat girls.

Thus, the author managed to do a very good job of using a female character who accepts her body; and that despite having suffered from judgments in the past, she faced them and learned to love herself. In addition, as much as the idea of a “Pochama” boy may seem a little exaggerated, it helped to highlight the issue of fatphobia within the reality of ...
