Synopsis

Ruri Tanaka has had enough of watching the boy she likes, Rito Fuwa, waste his days playing gal games—a type of dating simulation with attractive girls. Desperate to make Fuwa notice her, Ruri organizes a group date at a maid cafe to gather intel on any feelings Fuwa could have for her.

When Fuwa enters the cafe, a beautiful yet endearingly clumsy maid named Fuwari seems to recognize him. Although she respectfully refers to him as "Master," Fuwari cannot turn her attention away from Fuwa. Once he is left alone, she makes the most unexpected request: to date her for a month.

Having been hurt in the past, Fuwa is reluctant to open his heart. But he ultimately accepts Fuwari's deal, and the two partner up to conquer love, much to Ruri's displeasure. However, their agreement comes with one more condition: if their outlook on romance changes in the next 30 days, they will tell each other their true names—and Fuwari's real identity may explain the secret behind her unconventional proposal.

Another great love story written by Roku Tachibana. Nice and short, the story of a young man who was hurt by someone in the past, falls in love with someone he meets in a cafe. Meanwhile his childhood friend confesses to him and wants to have him all to herself. Not unique, but the characters and writing of the story is the real highlight of the story.

The Art is fantastic. Like, I really like how this manga was done. The art is tasteful, and EVEN THOUGH the love interest have a big set of breasts, it's a story that ISN'T ECCHI. That's a first ...

I would say it is not the best 16 chapters I've read but it was certainly a refreshing read.From the bittersweet ending to the in depth of its characters it was enjoyable.The backstory was presented in an unoriginal way and you expect certain things to happen but that doesn't stop the reader from being intrigued.The best part were the characters they were compelling enough to be invested in how they would develop throughout the story.All in all I believe it was a solid story that may but up for debate but I can definitely say this is not for everyone. Mixed Feelings

A lot of reviews seem to praise this manga. Although I find it an ok read, I definitely wasn't pleased with the story.

*SPOILERS AHEAD. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK*

Before I go into details, keep in mind that this isn't an issue with who was coupled together, but the way there were coupled. I will ty to keep spoilers light, but no promises.

Story - 6/10
Pretty standard romcom that got a little better near the end. However, my biggest issue with this story is how forced it feels. It's incredibly obvious that the author intends to "ship" a particular pair, and goes to great lengths to bend the story to fit it. Normally, this would be acceptable. However, with the short length of this manga, the necessary elements weren't developed. The reader did not get a real chance to empathize with the MC or heroines.
Within the story itself, there was practically very little development, and the ending felt more as a result of a deus-ex-machina thanks to convenient flashbacks that somehow resolve the problems rather than out of character growth of plot development. The MC just happens to already be in love, even though he acted the same way towards other contenders in the love triangle in the past, and trauma that haunted him for years just vanishes at the end due to a tiny realization. Towards the end, the series started a strong arc that ended up leading nowhere, and nothing came out of it.

Art - 8/10
Standard fare, nothing special. Characters are distinct and defined. Background fits. Character design was a tiny bit quirky for my taste but not bad.

Character - 6/10
Characters were stereotypical: Childhood friend type, big-breast type, sadistic kuudere type. The one character (Ruri) that actually had the most development in the series gets screwed over.
The main heroine had practically no development at all, and weaseled her way to the ending by practically being drunk and crying, even though she had a strong start. It felt cheap, and the romance didn't feel deserved.
The MC seems like he was under a hypnotic love spell that pointed towards only one girl for reasons not revealed until near the end (which ended up being a total cop-out for a reason too), and puts himself down way too much for no reason.
Not to mention the random introduction of another titular character that felt like the author had no other way out, and really out of place (although she did freshen up the series due to how ridiculous she is).

Enjoyment - 6/10
It was enjoyable enough. The drama wasn't particularly heavy, and the humor was pretty average for a romcom. It, however, definitely left a feeling of frustration behind with how it ended, and I'm confident to say I won't be re-reading this any time soon.
