This is the tale of a boy whose mother was killed in a meteor strike on their island home 6 months ago, something everyone knows was the crashing of an alien ship but no one will confirm. One day, a girl quite literally drops out of the sky on him. She at first takes him hostage from people hunting her but it eventually comes out that she's from outer space and if there's one thing that this boy's mother taught him, it is to NOT leave a damsel in distress…
Hi, here's my second review and also a first one for a manga series. Umhh, knowing that there's also other Nejimakiboshi to Aoi Sora's fans, that could have been just great! :D Actually, I've already bought this manga and it took me half a day (like 2 days) and I totally love the manga. Anyway, always feel free to read this review, okay! ^_^
-So, here it is!
1) Story (8/10) - [Nejimakiboshi to Aoi Sora is absolutely a manga that tells about a series of science-fiction events that required the past, present and future times. The story can be a kind of an understanding with the helps of development, but the changing of times from past, present to future will lead you to read the manga again to understand it more that before. So, how do I found this manga interesting? The beginning of the story will first make you become curious of this young boy named, Daisuke (Tsukuba) who is always wondering about the world that he was living in which is called Earth and also his upcoming responsibilities that he will take on with his own will, example like thinking of how the mechanical things are actually important in this world that they can even be used to help and protect others. The story is mostly a medium-paced one, with some details are later revealed in the manga where more characters like Misaki, a young girl who just appeared alongside with her (pet) robot, Kakeru (a type of a mechanical robot which can transform into something. These two characters become the symbol of "a real escape" and "need of love" for Daisuke. The plot later develop more when Daisuke learned that other characters like, Miss Ootomo and Mr. Michinaga are also in the mission on investigating the whereabouts and the condition of the alien spaceship that has fall down to the Earth. Lastly, there is also a story which tells about the mysteries behind how Daisuke's mother met with her death which adds more reliable reasons and facts why you must continue reading the manga series.]
2) Art (9/10) - [The art is great but the one that is masterpiece, the mechanical arts ones! But, since it's a first volume manga series, I'm not into giving it a full point, not because of the first volume but it's totally how it ended. Also because the arts can barely be seen. I'm really hoping to see more artworks in the manga but since the writer told that the story has to be shortened, I'm just okay with that. Anyway, you'll feel impressed by the overall looks of the manga's artworks. :)]
3) Character (9/10) - [Most of the characters are nicely made, some of them can be just ordinary but with great will of justice while the others can also be badass and great-thinking which adds the being of perfection in their own perceptions. First, Daisuke's character has a lot character development's built but since this is a one-shot manga, so no wonder for him to reset back to his own self that he always wanted to be. For Misaki, she has a bound of seeing the values of human beings in this kind of world but with some help by her robot, Kakeru, she was still able to survive although she didn't even think that stealing is actually a wrong to be done, but if that's the only meaning to survive, then not much people do care about that. So, basically she have both of fair and unfair values on herself. Kakeru is not a human character) but I'm adding it too because Kakeru is like the "symbol of hope" for Misaki to continue living her life, although she has to get hurt but must also live a happy and fine life. (This one is just a sad scene in the manga). Other than that, Miss Ootomo (*Tome is her forename, but always be aware to not calling her with just THAT name because, she....doesn't seem to be liking it*) xD, is a character with two individuals. It means here that, she can be both loving and not caring that much too other. Her character is a bit of a curiosity for me, but if you wanted to know about the real her, do pay attention on reading her character devices. Mr. Michinaga, not much known about this guy but he has been working with Miss Ootomo on science researches and he can also be a fine and calm man. On the other hand, he also does being nice to Daisuke on the time-beings. You might wanted to know about this, that he is being referred by Miss Ootomo as "a melancholic man", and that's one of the funny readings that I has just read from the manga series xD]
4) Enjoyment (8/10) - [As for how I'm totally feeling about the manga series right now, I could say that this one-shot is actually a good read for everyone. It teaches us to learn the main importance of living and non-living things, being protective to others, always think on a smart way on how to survive our life and also the power (need) of love can never be defeated by anything in this world. So, these are the reasons why this manga is definitely an interesting one for a daytime reading. :)]
-So, for the overall point(s) for this manga series, I rated it as 9. When you have a free time, don't forget to take your time by reading this manga. That's all by me and farewell, everyone! :) read more
