Synopsis

In the land of Carat, a battle for the queen's throne and the prince's hand in marriage is up and coming. Yuni and Melissa are chosen as candidates for the throne and until a winner is determined, the prince remains in a magical sleep. But what does this have to do with Baba Kanon, a simple ninth grader with thoughts of revolutionizing herself?

Okay, so this is going to be a fun review!

Carat! is a pretty funny parody of the typical mahou shoujo manga you see out there. If you want something solid for this manga to be parodying, think Nanatsuiro Drops and all other similar manga/anime.

The story, as I think I said earlier, isn't very unique, but even so, it was pretty enjoyable. The mangaka didn't seem to bother making it their own in the most obvious ways, but when you get farther into the story, some of the things that happen are rather unique. Preliminary (3/13 eps)
All right, this will be a very short review, since I only read the 3 chapters that have been translated so far. So far, based on the three chapters I read, it is a funny cute story about two students from a normal world getting drugged into a fight of the magical world.

The art is cute and the humor is light.

It's a bit of a parody on a magical girl story, since these magical girls don't exactly fit the stereotype. I hope more of the story will be translated soon!
