shounen ai with adorable art. although yozora no sumikke de is more complicated, both stories are touching. in both, characters have problems about having feelings for another man.

I've been looking for a very long time for something that approximates the style of Kii Kanna's work and I have to say that Yozora no Sumikko de comes closest. The artwork in both is just gorgeous. I sometimes pause and re-read pages over and over to admire the details and there's also a very fresh and spontaneous feeling to it. They're both about finding domestic bliss and they're both fairly realistic. I like it when the MCs have realistic reactions to events.

Both Yozora and Umibe no Etranger are very underrated and I'm surprised they don't have a wider readership. The art style in both are unique and help give a really refreshing and nostalgic feeling to the work. Both feature BL but it's relatively healthy and consensual and the focus is not on the BL part. I really enjoyed both titles.

It has a very similar art style and gives off an incredibly similar fuzzy feeling of nostalgia. They're both very wholesome in their own way as well. Hiiro no Isu is fantasy and Yozora no Sumikko de is slice of life but the atmosphere and feeling you get from reading them both are the same. That feeling of hopefulness as well.

Both manga have a school boy who has a crush on his senpai, that he only gets to confess years later, when they're both adults. [MINOR SPOILERS] Both manga also feature someone related to the senpai, who not only develops a crush on the said kouhai, but also ends up confessing their feelings to them. Only to be rejected, ofc.
