By the same creator, feature many animals posing at humans. Whom only a few can see them for what they really are mytical creatures. A light hearted story with comedy and horror elements.

Protagonist can speak with animals and see them as people.

The main characters are quite similar, they can see weird things and have trouble accepting it. They somehow become involved with supernatural creatures and have to deal with an inheritance -in Natsume Yuujinchou, his grandmother's unfinished business with ayakashis; in Genjuu no Seiza, his duty as the reincarnation of a holy man. Both grow throughout the series.

A school boy has supernatural powers but wavers between embracing and rejecting his powers completely. These two manga are otherwise very different but both are some of my favorites.

Totally different, not to mention that I have the faintest feeling that they belong to dfferent genres and demographics; but the buddhist theme, the priest theme and the monkey guardian that strikingly resembles Son Goku, makes me think that these two are somehow similar.

both guys have latent super power. only in GnS the hero is a bit... very much... unwilling in the beginning.

In each series, the main character must solve mysteries, often involving death or the supernatural, so others can be at peace. In Nightmare Inspector, this centers around patrons experiencing...well...nightmares, while in Genjuu no Seiza, those in trouble range from the living to lonely spirits. Both protagonists have an unique power which makes them so effective. Lastly, the art in each is well done.
