Synopsis

In middle school, Ichinose Kimitaka taught his friends how to play basketball. Despite his experience with the sport, his friends quickly outmatched him in skill. After an incident brought on by his frustration and jealousy, he was crushed to overhear those same 'friends' discussing how they wished he'd just kill himself.

On his way to toss out his special basketball shoes, he met a girl who was just as frustrated, throwing her own dancing shoes away. She was so tall, and her hands and feet are so large, that she had been rejected from her chosen hobby of Spanish dancing. He urged her to give basketball a try, and the two exchanged their shoes instead of throwing them away.

As he enters high school, Kimitaka learns that meeting him changed that girl's life for the better, and she is now a happy, social basketball player. Will Kimitaka be able to find the courage to make new friends and pursue his own talents?

Really really loved it.....
Each character in the story were well fleshed out and there was a sort of human-ness(I dont think thats even a word) to them....Its just that to me, even the ones that seemed like bad hearted characters didnt seem so bad at the end and all our main characters were too damn lovable.There were small arcs for each character which made me clise to these characters. I felt like I was watching over their growth.
I came here for some romance which wasnt much but I'm still fine with how their relation panned out.

Tetsugaku Letra is like that piece of cake that you want just one more bite.

The story reels you in, every single chapter. It’s so painfully realistic, without the frills and bells of school life manga, while being so wonderful warm in its simple storytelling. To be honest, I fell in love quickly with the characters. Fujimoto, Ichinose, Kikuchi, Ishikawa... loveable dorks who try their best in ever way. Echoing the fact that it’s very realistic: all our protagonists have something they feel bad about, something that makes them feel like trash. This manga doesn’t offer a solution. This is my first review and it won't be detailed or good either.
I chose to write this review to show how disappointed I'm in this manga. I went in expecting to read a romance manga about two peculiar characters who overcome their trauma, instead, I got quasi-dancing manga(who to be honest didn't really represent that either) with flawed side-characters and their trauma which itself wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so damn pathetic. From "cuckolding" and cheating to enabling toxic relationships.
