Both series have a similar setting and group characters that help and protect their mc. Both main characters are kind and like to do "the right thing". Also the art and some characters' desings are quite similar.

It's the same drawing artist (Yukihiro Utako). They both have a szenario in the past and therefore also nice costumes fitting the depicted time. They both contain fantasy. And they're both part of the shoujo genre. They certainly have a similiar atmosphere despite Makai Ouji's featuring many religious characters from the bible and therefore depicts biblic themes, while Shounen Oujo's seems more like a (dark) royal fairy tale.

Both focus on political intrigue and don't pull any punches. Both MC have a dangerous secret they have to keep while they are in constant danger of being discovered, and if they put a foot wrong they'll be dead or worse. For fans of political intrigue and nobility/royalty themes.

Although their treatments are different, both manga have striking similarities to them. While one is set in a patriarchal society, the other is a matriarchal society, and in both cases members of the opposite gender have virtually no rights for them. Then we have an MC who pretends to be of a higher social ranking in order to fulfill a promise they made to someone close to them (who is now dead). By their side they have a trusted butler who will give up their life in order to save their young master. The MC also shares a secret which only his butler knows....... and later  read more

We have a dude who dresses up as a blond girl, and his faithful butler who is sworn to secrecy. But while Kenka is a comedy, Shounen is a shoujo-drama that was unfortunately dropped by its scanlation group.

A royalty is hiding their true sex, so they don't lose the right to rule their kingdom.

Both manga are of the gender bender category. Also, both the cross dressers are replacing an important person(in Shounen Oujo its a princess while in Sengoku Blood its the lord of a country) who gets killed. Shounen Oujo takes place in a country where women are superior to men while Sengoku Blood takes place in olden Japan where women are thought of to be inferior to men. Both manga are also still ongoing(at this time that I am typing this). There exist attendants in both that are loyal to the people the cross dressers are impersonating and are willing to help  read more

Both stories began with the same concept: A poor boy is brought the palace to become the princess double. But while Kyoumen no Silhouette is a comedy, Shounen Oujo is a serious work picturing what it seems to be a really deep world. But there is just one chapter released of Kyoumen no Silhouette, so we might need to wait for more.

Both are about a pauper (a girl in OujiHibi and a boy in SO) who has an identical face to a rich person from the opposite gender (a millionaire boy in Oujihibi, a princess in SO) and ends up replacing them. Both have great art.

*spoilers, duh* Each involve a protagonist that takes the place of a celebrated icon (the princess in Shounen Oujo and the famous magician in Magical[forgot the exact position, haven't read it in a long time]). The tone in Shounen is much more serious and it focuses on conflicts such as uprisings and royal politics while Magical stretches day-to-day magical lessons and is a little more light-hearted. Both are increasingly concerned with concealing the swap in identity; however, Shounen presents more dire consequences starting right at the beginning.

Both of these stories have a similar plot line where the main characters replace the other of the opposite gender within an high social and political standing. Migawari Hakushaku no Bouken tends to focus more on the romance and is overall more lighthearted whereas Shounen Oujo focuses more on the adventure and takes a different, darker route.

Both stories feature a protagonist that—for some reason—resembles the crown prince or princess. When that royal dies, the protagonist must take their place.

Both stories are about a boy in disguise as a princess, except that in Kiss me Princess the boy is of royalty. Other similarities are the political issues and the conflict between the members of the royal family.
