Kojima seeks to befriend the class outcast, and soon learns of Nakahara's troubled family life - of his uncaring, abusive father and mentally unstable mother. As Kojima yearns to somehow comfort Nakahara, he gradually becomes aware that his feelings for the other boy arise from more than mere sympathy. When Nakahara declares his own romantic feelings for Kojima, their relationship becomes one of sexual exploration as they face their first steps into adulthood together.

Seven reasons why you should buy Little Butterfly this instant:

1. For me in a manga good art is important and the art in Little Butterfly is gorgeous! So much so that it makes me jealous, why can't I draw like that?

2. The characters are adorable and very well developed, even the parents and teachers. The majority of the manga is focused on the boys' characters though which is to be honest exactly where we want it to focus!

3. Little Butterfly is also realisitic (as a yaoi manga can get) and I could not rate it below 10/10 in any category.

4.This isn't just shonen ai, read more

Story: It's a story about youth, first love and friendship. It has a simple storyline, but the characters give it a refreshing feel.

Art: I find Takanaga's art to be beautiful. It's very unique and one just knows it's her art from the first glance. In this manga the art is excellent as usual.

Characters: At first glance, both main characters seem pretty stereotypical: Kojima is cheerful, kind and outgoing, while Nakahara is gloomy, silent and reserved. But they're both much more than that.

Kojima's the kind of person who is not afraid to show his emotions, loves helping people and is very hard working. Though read more

Story: Upon first inspection, I thought the plot would be some mushy-gushy cliche storyline. However, each plot point was written superbly and uniquely.

Art: Since this was yaoi, I was surprised there were no dongs explicitly shown. I was glad for this, though, since this leaves the sexy scenes up to the reader's imagination.

Characters: I am so glad Kojima Yuki's character was not flamboyantly homosexual. Even though he did serve as the slightly-feminine. "uke" character, he was nit the only feminine-looking character - the rest of the characters, including Atsushi Nakahara look feminine-ish...that is just a lovely quirk about the artistic style.

Enjoyment: This manga was so read more
