This story is set in old Japan and has a demonic touch to it. It has a lot of twists in it and is a good story. It may flash in between characters but that makes the story continue. If you like comedy along with fighting demons and peverted monks then this one is for you. It's a sweet story where your just waiting for two of the characters to pair up. The fighting is very detailed and climatic. It's just a fun story that will make you giggle. If your interested take a peak inside the book.

Every so often while I'm sifting through all the crap the shounen ai tag has to offer (and believe me, there's quite a bit of crap there,) I'll find a gem that turns out much better than I expected. Despite my lack of interest in the historical genre as a whole, Japanese mythology and spiritual themes tend to fascinate me as they're far as can be from my own beliefs and culture. And so, I decided to crack this one open for a good read.

Itsuki is the biggest bastard and I love him.

The two main characters really sold me on this manga, their interactions led the whole story and made it much more enjoyable. Yes I know that sounds pretty obvious but trust me..! Itsuki's constant flirting and Hisame's reactions made the whole series amusing and wanting more. Also the times where one of them would be in danger and the other's reaction warmed my heart, whether it be Itsuki's protective fixation for Hisame or Hisame's badly hidden care for Itsuki. If I had to say something critical of the manga, I'd say the lack of closure ...
