Colorful Harvest in short is about a boy who confesses to a girl he loved that turns him down, later on leaves his farming life to go off to college to get away from the farm and his broken heart. Years later comes back home to find out the one he loved now misses and regrets turning him down. Not to mention a few other girls that liked him but never had the guts to tell him, who feel this is their chance to confess before he go's back to college. The story is well written even though it only has a few chapters
displays good romance/ drama/ ecchi/ and harem complex with in the story.
Colorful Harvest wasn't disappointing, but that's because it didn't give me something to expect out of it since the beginning.
The story is just too simple for a non-H manga. The characters are too flat from the get-go and unfortunately didn't improve for the short 9 chapters it has. Some characters suddenly disappeared without a trace. Even if they didn't leave an impression on me, I was still saddened by their lack of closure. The only thing this manga excels at is on its artwork. It's clean but not impressive or alluring.
All in all, Colorful Harvest is something you must read if you want to
bump up your mangalist. Outside of that, you're better off to read something at least half decent.
Colorful Harvest is pretty much a hentai manga that isn't actual hentai.
Story and characters would be really good for a H title, but as it isn't one, I'm going to rate them as non-H manga, which means low. I mean, this is just hentai without directly shown genitals. The only purpose of story is to show sex scenes. Characters also don't have any depth or reason behind their behavior.
On the bright side protagonist pick a girl in the end and we get actual satisfying ending.
Art is good. Sex scenes are drawn really well and characters look great. It lacks in other fields, but for
this kind of manga it's fitting.
Generally speaking, if it was a hentai manga, it'd be one of the better ones. But as a seinen ecchi/romance title, it is just weak. On the other hand it's short and "pleasant" to read, if you know what I mean. While I wouldn't actively recommend this manga, I wouldn't say it's not worth reading.
Alright, let's just get this out of the way. It's porn, with a story. If you're reading this, read it with one hand on the mouse and the other on your genitals, any other way is objectively wrong.
And with that out of the way let's talk about this shit. So let's tackle this on MAL's patented system of rating and start with the story. "How is the story," I hear you ask. Well the answer is it doesn't matter, it's porn. No one looks up porn for the thrilling tale of how the a step mom tutored her step son on 'biology.' How's the
art, well it's good. Van Gogh may not have treated it like I treat my toilet after a night of heavy drinking, but it's definitely good. What about the characters? Well a wise manga character once said, "There has to be a penis, it's what guys self insert with." That quote stands true In this, as there is a male MC. That's all you need, after that, there are three females. They are varied enough to be different characters, so hey they have that going for them. If you need more characterization then that go read "To Kill a Mockingbird" you cultured person you. Now we get to the most important part Enjoyment. Well I can say from experience, there was many a time I had to take a break, if you catch my drift.
Now for the most important part, the overall score. Well here's the deal if I read it as a manga, it's not great. But remember the first sentence, it's porn, with a story. When looked at that way there's only a single possible score i could give it
