Both these titles are at par with me because both are amazing! They both involve good drama and plot twists that keep you hooked. The pairings are some-what uncomfortable, at first, as the characters develop and open up as the story unravels and by the end i found myself totally in love with all of them. Also, i like how the characters are mysterious until their secrets are revealed peaking the drama and making my heart skip a beat. Plus the romance is tragic but breathtaking. The only differences would be the art (KnT is much more detailed and realitic) and genres (supernatural against slice-of-life).

I find the plots are similar in the areas of drama and tragedy. Both are dark and twisted with sexual abuse, as one of the points. There are light elements of comedy but overall i would say both are very serious. I find both characters very likable and the mangaka knows how to make you love them straight away. The art is soft and light though which lightens the moods. Overall i found Kiki more depressing and enjoyed Silence much more but both are worthy titles.

The only real similarities is how they 'heal' each other. In both mangas one of the characters must be healed from 'something'. One character in each manga has the ability to suck out black substance from their bodies. I guess the comedy is similar as well, but Silence is, overall, more serious. I personally think Silence is better. It has more drama and less 'Love/Hate' type of relationships - which Konoyo Ibun has.
