Both mangas are about an unusual family which is trying to take care of a child. And both are aimed towards an older audience. If you enjoyed one of these stories, probably you'll enjoy the other. 

They both deal with LGBT themes with a very tender and realistic perspective. Although having very different stories, they have a similar feel. 

Both couples share a similar relationship dynamics, as roommates where one is the lazy slacker and the other the serious hardworking that takes care of her. 2DK is a lot more focused in comedy, though, while Ohana Holoholo has a lot more drama. 

They both tackle LGBT themes and the perception of them from the japanese society, as well as how the families and childrens involved handle it. 

Sono and MIchiru both have similar personalities, as being dependent of their lovers. They also tackle the yuri genre from a more adult perspective.
