Tar-chan has to be one of the worst series I have ever read, with no redeeming qualities. Not even the humor is good, and from the 36 chapters I read, there was little satisfying progression beyond a simple gag manga. Perhaps this develops more, but I could not find any chapters available. Anyone is free to send me the full thing if they can find it, i would appreciate it greatly.
The only notable reason to even read this manga is because Eiichiro Oda worked as an assistant on Tar-chan, and you can easily tell within the first few chapters a lot of the quirky

character design and influence that bleeds over into One Piece. No surprise, that such a terrible manga would find it's origin in an even worse work. You won't find that with Miura, who was an assistant to Buronson. It's almost remarkable how Oda managed to be assistant to a crude, disgusting gag comedy manga and a pxdophile at the same time, and being best friends with another pxdophile. Truly a paragon that One Piece fans can hold up, and for that, Tar-chan is a valuable piece of history that doesn't just explain the world we live in, but defined manga as we know it.
Yes I just spun that around into something positive. No one is going to read this.
