It's strange that two on-going seinen series with practically the exact same set-up can be on-the-go at the same time, but that's the case with these two. In both two male characters come together; one with intelligence to spare and the other with ESP. In both they end up working together to change the world. In both series, the main character plays more of an anti-hero role. Their unique abilities puts them on a path that leads to many conflicts with society and the world around them. In fact, both series has the theme of world domination although their motives are different.

Both series explores the life of an average man whose life changes after some mysterious event. There is supernatural forces involved in the story as we witness the main protagonist change into more of an anti-hero. Their personality becomes distorted while we learn more about their behavior. Both series also explores relationship dynamics although the focus is very different between their storytelling.

Two young men set out to destroy society through means of terrorism. Destroy & Revolution is more PG and less gory/controversial than TWiM though.

Both series deal with a main character having an unusual gift and another character, who upon noticing that gift shares his opinion on how to make the best use of the gift. In other words both series revolve around a character who has some kind of special power and a clever friend who sees the potential that power can do. In Sensen Spike Hills it is less supernatural with the gift being his ability to pickpocket while in Destroy and Revolution it is a power called "Oneness". Also their goals differ quite drastically however both share a similar rather melancholy tone. It is important to  read more
