The plot in both horror/thriller series are almost identical: - There's a sudden earthquake that shook the city and the characters find themselves stranded in a dark and post-apocalyptic future. - They all attempt to find out the mystery while trying to survive. - They also encounter weird and terrifying monsters.

Spirite and Chikyuu no Houkago takes place in a fictional world where anything is possible. In fact, the world the main characters once knew changes to something beyond their imagination. Both series also contains a lot of mysteries regarding the many events from the past. There are also some subtle survival themes (more so in Spirte). Recommended for fans of post-apocalyptic world fiction.
