Strike Witches:The Sky that Connects Us is not a manga full of character development, one coherent story, brand new characters, or anything, but it was a great read.
There's not really much plot since all the stories are just in between stories about what each member of the Strike Witches did between seasons 1 and 2 of the anime. It's really clear that that is what, the author wanted to write. You can tell that it's not a stand alone work.
Along with the story, the characters are not stand alone either. There's no big character introductions here so if didn't like them
