They don't have similar stories at all. It's just that, when i was reading magico, the man character, shion, reminded me so much of shin that it was hilarious.. XD The two do have their differences though- shion's not suicidal, shin's not... shy with the girl he likes...? (not that he likes anyone- i don't think...) you'll get shion's shy thing if you read magico... it sounds different than it really is. Anyway, it's just that when it comes to their general attitudes, shin and shion really resemble one another somehow. XD

Both involve chess pieces in a fight. They feature the 5v5 style.

Hear me out in this, there are similarities between this two that you might like: 1.) Both story involves a SUICIDAL CHARACTER, if you love this type of characters then you have it. Shin Kujuo and Dazai Osamu will give you a enjoyable time with their suicidal antics. 2.) Both main characters somewhat have the negative feelings inside them, doubts to be specific and a past that they don't like at all. However, both main characters have different personalities. 3.) If you're a white-haired lover! hoora! 4.) Despite En Passant has 20 chapters, it had showed action (not the full blast action). However, Bungou Stray Dogs has more action  read more

Both of the main characters are the successors of organizations (in khr is the vongola family from the mafia and in en passant is the criminal organization verde) they didn't want to enter and they must fight with a candidate for the succession.

both have issues of successorship, both have a game where players represent chess pieces, both have incredible fighters. and that is about all they have in common except for a good (albiet different) sense of humour. hope you enjoy reading both.

Both mangas have a feeling of mystery, supernatural, action and adventure. Though the protagonists are very different, both still have that feeling of suspense.

Both manga centers on a fighting game that is based on Chess. The main protagonist and antagonist has a relation to each other. Their teammates are also seen as chess pieces that help the main characters through out the game.

The main characters of both series are REALLY negative (although in different ways). They both also know a girl who is REALLY positive. En Passant isn't a very well know series but it's really promising. If you like Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei you should give it a try.
