So to be clear I self translated this series by myself to read it so I might not of gotten the best reading experience out of it. So to start off I was kind of disappointed that it was not a hybrid manga that does both Shogi and Tennis, Shogi is just used to give in game experience to Ayume for example. A few of the matches he uses his Shogi problem solving skills to get the upper hand against some of his opponents which yeah that's cool but I wanted actual Shogi play as well. I cant take that away from the story though
...
since it was never advertised as a "Sangatsu no Lion x Prince of Tennis" manga. My big take aways though is that the story itself feels so uninspired, Non of the characters feel lively at all just super generic Troup characters you're used to seeing in any sports series. Got the basic badass who becomes good friends with the MC, got the cool lone Female character who's really good at the sport and you have the super go lucky always happy MC. It was really just a super predictable story that felt rushed nor did it even feel like it properly ended. But some good things are the art is pretty decent, I do like the art style a fair bit but it looked like some character poses where copied and pasted on different panels. I don't want to be too harsh on it since it seems like its this duos first manga and I want to see how they do after a few more series. I don't feel this is a horrible manga but its just one you will forget about in a few days after reading.
