Synopsis

Under the soulless eyes of the Tantal Empire's rulers—Emperor Laius Tantal, Crown Prince Oreste, and Princess Erinyes "Erin" Nissa—the treacherous Lowenthal family faces execution. The rebellion the Lowenthals led was sweeping, but the tyrannical royal family emerged unharmed and victorious. However, Erin had hoped with her whole heart that the insurrection would succeed.

As Bathoria Lowenthal, Erin's greatest ally, takes her final breath, Erin curses her father and imperious brother. Unwilling to give up, she artfully pleads with Oreste to let her claim the youngest Lowenthal son, Tristan, as her slave. Tristan did not partake in the uprising, having been deployed in the war. But Tristan condemns his family's betrayal, and Erin realizes that she must play an agreeable sister, restore her strength, and properly prime Tristan to finish what the Lowenthals started.
