The title says it all, the story is told in the point of view of the banisher, which is a first for me to be honest, however, the execution on the story is nothing else than endless infuriation and suffering for my reading experience.
In all honesty, the story progression and character building is nothing but a hellish part to read, our main characters is not the expelled, but Daru, the oldest guy in the party, and guess what? all he cares about was the girls. for example, Est (Expelled) having a hard time? nah, i agree, let's kick him out of the party because
...
he's weak to protect him! better yet, let's cause a misunderstanding so he will hate the FMC even more thus making her feelings vulnerable and i can make her fall in love with me! meanwhile, Athena (FMC) having a hard time? oh dear, let's go outside and train! i know that you depend too much on Est's so i will train you with my sealed power! and you know what? Let's go on date! the two of us! so we can forget about that Est guy and you can instead fall in love with me!
Yeap, that paragraph summarize my experience with this manga, it's nowhere near "an exciting adventure and restart of a once strong party!" or "you know, we are wrong, let's try to at least reconcile with Est and start over from the beginning!" but instead, it was, "hey guys, my name is Daru and today i will show you how to steal someone's childhood crush by never solving or telling both of them about the misunderstanding that happen when the FMC got drunk and also 101 on how to be a harem protagonist!"
The way the Author tried to portray Daru as the "Good Guy" went terribly wrong, really wrong, bamboozlingly wrong. Out of everything, he is the Villain of this story, from how differently he acts between dealing with Est and the Girls, to how all he did was trying to build a stage for himself to make the party and our FMC to fall for him instead of helping Est building his potential or at the very least, give some encouragement and even solving the misunderstanding that happens between them about the FMC.
He even hides his power that almost results in the death of the entire party, a daunting event that could results in Est losing his mind thus he will either become an actual Villain or loses his life and motivation from grief, the worst part of everything is that, in the end of the story, it was Est who apologize to the party when in reality he was the victim of the party themselves, while thankfully he could move on from his childhood crush, the fact that Daru ends up with a Harem and even ends up being the subject of love from our FMC is really infuriating since what he did in the story was pretty much spending his time slowly stealing the FMC heart by not solving the mentioned misunderstanding between him and Est (which made our FMC the subject of Est rage and hates and she think she deserved it FOR KICKING HIM OUT OF THE PARTY, while not knowing it was due to a misunderstanding that happen between the POS Daru and Est)
And the end of it all, dear Gentlemen, i sincerely suggest you to stay clear of this endless suffering ahh manga and keep your peaceful year to yourself
