It started out as a pretty good isekai villainess story with cute interactions and a pretty light-hearted feel. This continued for quite a while.

After the half point the story suddenly plummeted though. Almost every chapter I felt like I was missing half the story. Characters were referencing events or facts as if they were established but they were completely new to me. It made for a very jarring read to say the least.

By the end, a lot of plot points from the beginning were retconned or forgotten entirely. It felt like my previous investment went into waste and I had to just accept a new ... reality. Honestly, it felt like having dementia or the like.

In conclusion, if you start reading this and like it, continue until you become confused and then stop. Reading until the end will not give you any extra enjoyment and the series will not surprise you in any good way.

It starts as a decent otome isekai series with the comedy + childcare + girlboss FL as its primary genres.


I would rate the first half above average. The characters, plot and even the art were very formulaic. The series offered nothing new to the fans of this genre. But, as unoriginal as it was in terms of content, the execution was good and if you just wanted a genre staple, you would be satisfied. The story was about a stalker "villainess", who regresses back in time, and decides to avoid repeating her mistakes this time. This part is filled with cute childcare and funny ... FL moments. FL is really the main attraction for this series, but she can only carry so much.

I think there were problems from early chapters, but only after the first half, you really start to realize that we are sliding down faster and faster. It got axed, which makes me think that everyone was in a rush to get to the end.

- The pacing is atrocious. Setting up plot threads for multiple chapters and resolving them suddenly in like 5 panels (not even a full chapter). You are just left there wondering if you were missing chapters/panels.
- The villains are evil masterminds in one chapter and become dumber than bricks in the very next chapter. The empress was the only villain who had any sort of competency, but other than that, everyone else is brain-damaged.
- Nothing ever makes sense past a certain point. Writer be creating use-and-throw plot devices to just move the plot forward. We start dealing with dark magic, divine power, divine beast, reincarnation, reversing time, future predictions, fake memories etc... The more you read, the less it makes sense. It keeps getting worse towards the end. FL faints so often, that I have become numb and don't even feel bad for her at this point. I just consider her fainting as her sleep routine.
- The characters always lacked depth and were cardboard cutouts. But the later chapters completely forget the existence of side characters. One would assume that the personal assistant or maid would be accompanying FL/ML into dangerous situations? Nope. Just ML/FL walking into enemy territory without any plan.


I could go on forever with complaints, but it all comes down to just one main problem. This is a decent series in the first half (not great, but good enough). But it spirals down into a dumpster fire (due to suddenly getting axed) and you are stuck in a place where you can't drop it because it's so close to the end, and you can't continue because the quality keeps dropping.

Just avoid starting this series and avoid the mental anguish.

One line to describe this manhwa would be "Looks like a dessert, but tastes like a desert."

It started off as a generic RoFan and had a ... unoriginal, but somewhat enjoyable plot. My rating fluctuated between 6 and 8, but with the way the plot is going, even 6 is too high.
I still wish to keep reading, but with each chapter more questions arise, yet there is no answer. The romance (or the lack thereof) is extremely frustrating as well! It feels like the creator focused only on the fantasy aspects as the chapter count increased.

Not to mention, there's too many subplots! And ... unnecessary twists. I'm so sick of it. What started off as a fun read is stressing me out instead, so i may end up dropping it.

I wouldn't have made it this far if not for the adorable children, but even they are nowhere to be seen now :crying: LET ME OUT!!!

TL;DR - ok to read as a pass time, but don't have any expectations. You can consider this as a palette cleanser :shrug:
