Synopsis

Dragons. They blot out the sun, strike fear in the hearts of men, spew fire onto doomed villages... the strongest beings in history. And now, their descendants are... somehow mangaka!? The little nerd Bahamuko-sensei is a brand new mangaka who got her first monthly serialization. She wants to make a world-famous manga and inspire other dragons (who are also complete nerds) to invade our world. Fun characters, average art, great puns.

A cute, short story. Cancelled early due to short readership, but as a gag manga it has no real trouble wrapping up the story into a neat little bow. On the strength of the story and art alone I'd have to rate this manga as a 7, but the high quality of the translation brings this up to a solid 8.

But no, seriously. Kaisermutt/Horse Deer Scans performs another exceptional work of translating not just the literal meaning of the text, but transposing cultural context and even adding additional jokes and characterization. Their end-chapter translation notes are also, as always, a ...

Preliminary (3/16 eps)

Dragon girl starting as a mangaka and plans to take the world over through popularity. Clean art enough comedy, almost everyone panel main character is making a funny expression. Story is funny to follow along. Simple enough but good fun. Side character fits well with her. Can easily see it have an entertaining future. Was worried about being only in their apartment but other settings are used which is good for future scenarios and characters. I think people that enjoy a bit of comedy clean art and just fun expressions they'll be able to have some fun with it. References to other media are ...
