The only "kicked out of the hero's" party that's worth reading.

The MC is a well-adjusted middle-aged guy in a teenager's body, with good taste in women to boot. Apparently the hero thought he was NTRing the MC, but he didn't care to begin with. He's stronger than the hero, has better rizz, and he likes MILFs. Therefore he doesn't get together with the mothers of the members of his party out of revenge, but because he's been in love with them since his reincarnation.

If you're a man of culture that appreciates MILFs then this is a 8/10 100% of the time. The manga is also ... better than the novel, since sex gets skipped in the novel.

There is something incredibly fascinating about contemporary Isekai narratives these days. Either it's a full-blown power fantasy with a harem attached, a ridiculous subversion of Isekai norms, or a grim-dark fantasy tale that embraces Isekai tropes while attempting to turn away from the more hard-to-take seriously spins on the genre. This manga falls in the first category. It's a full-blown power fantasy with a harem attached.

What makes this one special? Well, the girls are MILFs. Like yeah. That's the twist. That's it.

Look, the story is painfully predictable. The characters are lacking depth and thought. Like almost any other male other than the main ... character is literally the biggest scumbag there is. And the MC, with his Isekai powers and familiarisation with Japanese and modern culture, he's the dude that can please all of these motherly women. There's no intended big contemplative theme to really let you think about what you are reading. The characters are well illustrated, and as an extra, there's nudity and stuff in there for reader gratification. It knows what it is and it wears it on its sleeves. The only thing is that this story ideologically celebrates a lot of modern norms without thinking about it a bit more in-depth. But that's honestly every other Isekai out there.

Well, if you like MILFs, and you like Isekai. This one lets you read your dreams. It's a very, very dumb but kinda fun read.

At first I was going to go on a long diatribe that could be likened to a shitty Youtube video essayist: about intentionally consuming bad fiction, about Isekai, about the history of anime, what makes a good series, what makes a series "so bad it's good :P", etc.

But honestly, it'd be a waste of my fucking time. This series is shit: end of story.

I've seen/read a lot of Isekai. Are most of them bad? Yes. Are most of them TERRIBLE? Probably. Do they promote IMMORALITY or IMPROBABLE situations? Most of the time. However, there's a certain charm to the honesty of it all. For the ... most part, Isekai are a shameless power fantasy: the bullied nerd/fat otaku/ugly salaryman gets Isekai'd, is super duper strong, gets a harem of hot babes, gets to PWN the chad-insert character(s), and so on and so forth. They never pretend to be anything deeper (usually), and if you're into that sort of thing, you can just turn your brain off and CONSOOM. They can be likened to fast food. The only difference between this series and the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel Isekaishit IS that honesty and shamelessness. That the slop you're consuming is otaku wish fulfillment, and that you should only experience their work if you're okay with that. For example, I HATE Josei. Should I spend my time reading Josei if I'm only going to hate it? Of course not. Should I seethe about any number of works because they don't appeal to ME, and they instead appeal to some DIRTY GROSS... WOMEN!? It'd be pretty ridiculous to think so. The same applies to women who complain about fanservice in male-oriented works and then proceed to eat up the beastiality-rape shit or whatever that goes on in their works.

So, to put it into perspective: If you eat fast food, think of the dirtiest, nastiest chain you can; now imagine that chain's promotion material consisting ENTIRELY of shitting on other chains. "You like Burger King? LOL so poor!" "Oh, you like Chik-fil-A? Isn't that establishment, like, SUPER homophobic? You're a terrible person if you eat there." Meanwhile, they can't make a fucking burger without burning it to a charred crisp AND they overcharge you for your order.

And that's where "Yuusha ni Zenbu Ubawareta Ore wa Yuusha no Hahaoya to Party wo Kumimashita!" (GREAT name lol) comes in. Unfortunately I went on a sort of hiatus when Kaguya-sama was wrapping up, or when Evangelion 4.0 came out, so part of this is directed at them. The gripes I have are similar. You see, one of the things I can't stand in this industry are SELF-RIGHTEOUS and ARROGANT creators who think their shit doesn't stink. The ones who will ride their claim to fame from making otaku-centered works—while using every trick in the book to boost their popularity—and then switch up once they're comfortable and coasting. The "I hate otaku" sentiment that seems so prevalent with certain creators. Was that their goal the whole time, or did they have a change of heart sometime during the process? Was it the success? I'd say it largely depends on the person. But I think Aka owning the CHUDS near the end of Kaguya—as well as the majority of Oshi no Ko (lol what a shitshow)—and Anno's thematic depth amounting to "just become a wagie, golem" come from similar places. The main problem here is that the creator of this series HASN'T paid his dues. He HASN'T produced ANYTHING of substance, so what weight is there in his words? Who the fuck is he? At least Anno made two of the greatest and easily recognizable jailbait characters in modern fiction. At least Aka... -_- ... What the fuck has ISHINO, YASSAN done? Anything?

Now, onto the actual series.

The premise is that of your standard Isekai: a middle-aged Japanese salaryman is sent to a medieval, western-inspired (?) fantasy setting. Unlike most Isekai, however, he is reincarnated instead of simply being transported (like in Mushoku Tensei). The most unique element of this work is that the MC had a loving WIFE and DAUGHTER before having his life taken away. WOWIE ZOWIE. Stakes? Tragedy? Are we in new territory here? Obviously not. It's only used as a prop to justify the series' concept and has no other bearing on the MC or the story at large. In fact, it makes him look even more sociopathic and hateable once you realize his thoughts never wander back to the family he lost. Does he feel guilt towards his wife when he's fucking all these convenient middle-aged holes? Nope. Does his heart ache when he reminisces about the young daughter he'll probably never see again? LOL if only. The backstory is only used to excuse the author's MILF fetish. "I ONLY go for MILFS because I was once a married man, so any young girls seem like children to me. Everyone in this world is a pedo." You can almost FEEL the soy radiating off this faggot author whenever he writes dialogue.

So yeah, as if that wasn't ridiculous enough, it gets better: In this world, the average life expectancy is around 50, so women are treated as hags around 17. First of all: that's retarded beyond words. Second: that's based as hell. Anyway, because of this culture, all the late-20s to early-30s women that make up the MC's harem are ALL unwanted and unlovable in society's eyes. Never mind the fact that they all have great bodies, personalities, and whatever else that makes a persona desirable. Sure. They're all conveniently let go from their husbands, so there's no drama or developments in that department (one even sold his wife into slavery. kek.) Just the most one-dimensional, intentionally hateable characters possible and all the assurances of gift-wrapping the MC the perfect harem with no moral quandaries whatsoever.

"It's okay: all our husbands conveniently threw us out, so there's no problem with us getting with you, MC-kun!"

"It's okay: even though there are, like, 20 S-class adventurers in the world, all 4 of us are S-class, and we JUST SO HAPPENED to formerly be in an adventuring party, and we JUST SO HAPPENED to have the same experiences with marriage, and we JUST SO HAPPENED to live in the same rinky-dink village, and we JUST SO HAPPENED to still be S-class adventurers despite decades of complacency being mothers. You can definitely let us adventure with you. We'll be super helpful!"

"It's okay: even though you have four wives already, you're going to marry all the other countries' high-ranking hags just for the hell of it. They'll all also be super into you, and your relationships will be signed off on and approved by all the major governments. 5 wives, 10 wives, 15 wives—you can never have too many!"

Yada yada. Early on the series degenerates into straight-up hentai, which is especially terrible because the art isn't good. I guess the people here praising it were just blown away by the character designs (or something... else?). But the art itself is incredibly mediocre. Not terrible, but also nothing to write home about.

The story tries to take a more serious turn later on with some dragons or shit, idk. The MC fights some strong guys. The MILF-holes have to do something. Ehhhh, it's pretty fucking gay all things considered. The series has absolutely nothing going for it, which is mind-boggling because most shitty series have at least ONE thing I liked in them. A girl. A decent villain. A character I hated dying. Something. ANYTHING.

Nope. Not here.
