This manga will be a decent read for you if you really like a soft, cheerful and happy romance with a strong female protagonist. It has a light tone all around, the pacing is maybe a bit slow, and the art is phenomenal (but not absolutely top-tier).
One of the first panels of the manga is the protagonist getting her engagement annulled, but, interestingly, this isn't a typical plot about getting revenge or anything along that line. Instead, the protagonists engages with the person that accidentally mistook her for her cousin.
The plot at first seemed to be Maria trying to find a husband, but,
...
she got an engagement in like Chapter 2, so now the plot follows Maria (the protagonist)'s journey as the princess of this suspiciously Italian-looking kingdom. The plot is kind of predictable at times, but for a soft romance, it's expected. I thought that the romance side is a bit weird, as, Maria showed no clear affection for the male lead, she then accepted the engagement anyways. She then suddenly loves the male lead a few chapters after that, now, with no clear reason how or why.
Maria's personality is a bit weird (but actually realistic to the household she was raised in) and a bit inconsistent. The author wanted to build her as 'cheerful and carefree', but, sometimes, it feels like her personality diverges off of what the author was clearly trying to show us. She seemed to have actual critical thinking skills (as shown when she gets in some trouble, ex. the first kidnapping scene), but, can't really use it when it matters, which doesn't match her traits. In the first few chapters she consistently spoke out her thoughts, but, after chapter 3 or 4 that interesting trait simply disappeared out of nowhere.
The plot itself is also not that boring, as the drama parts aren't that interesting, nor does it seem to have any impact on our leads. They seem to be there to serve as temporary dopamine boosts for you to keep engaging and waiting for them to finally get married. Like any normal romance manga, it also consistently edges us with romance scenes that consistently gets cut off before the climax. So you'll have to be very patient if you want to enjoy the manga. The manga does do romance decently well, but that's honestly pretty much it. The side-characters are... not that good, as they nearly never get any depth at all. In fact, most of them are common tropes, though a tsundere queen is cool I guess.
Overall, I'd give this manga a 7/10. It's average at best. Maybe read this if you're missing a little bit of sugary sweet romance right now, but it'd recommend Tonikaku Kawaii rather than this if you want that.
