Well, this is just one stupid manga… stupidly cute. Ok, I can be all hyper-critical of this manga by pointing out that the manga’s concept is silly, and all of the characters are some of the densest and idiotic manga characters in existence. Still, it’s low-key wholesome, and fun to read.
Though I want to be clear: The characters in this manga make me want to bang my head against a wall repeatedly due to how dumb they act towards each other initially, and the plot is no different, but it gets so much better with time, as the trope and characters grew on me
...
massively.
Though the logic behind its concept is incredibly flawed, it makes a refreshing and realistic take on the average rom-com, as the characters inadvertently share their true thoughts about each other, making for one wholesome bliss.
One major aspect I want to note is the realism in their feelings -- this manga feels like the completely accurate portrayal of feelings and thoughts towards your high school crush, which a lot of authors can't do.
At its core, the manga is simply cute but somewhat touching due to its dumb but “unique” premise — who am I kidding, they just slapped on some glasses and called it an entirely different person. If you ignore that huge flaw in logic, the story isn’t bad, and it becomes one wholesome, grinning manga.
