The sole reason this novel should be read is probably for the FMC's scheming and nothing else. The comedy aspect is okay, but the romance is really underwhelming. Even though the plot revolves around that, it failed to make my heart move even on the ending which should be seen as quite happy (for some characters).

If you ask me why, that is probably due to the MC, which becomes an insufferable mess past volume one. They managed to strip off the little the MC had for a personality in the first volume, and turned him into a bland, indecisive pushover. This weakens the romance considerably ...
