Imagine this, you're the daughter of a rich, powerful, family that could give you anything you want... anything? Okay then, give me a reason to live because neither your wealth or power is capable. Enter, our main character, Ayame, who is shown no love or affection from her family. Because of the way Ayame is treated, she seals off her heart and would rather live out her days by herself... or so it would appear. Being the daughter of a prestigious family, you need to have a personal maid, right? Well, Ayame gets just that... and then some, in Shion, her android maid, friend, and

as she ages, lover. This setup goes to show that time and time again even those that have been mistreated can be healed, with true love and true affection, Shion had the key needed to reopen Ayame's heart. However, nothing lasts forever, with Ayame finding Shion on the ground, unresponsive. Ayame, determined to fix Shion, tells her family off and makes way for the stars... While this introduction may seem cliché, this story until the very end is anything but.
We're introduced to many characters throughout and all have their own well developed backstories that make for interesting conflict, and love, but most importantly, self-discovery. The main cast all have goals of their own, some more hidden than others. As our journey unfolds, a few things threaten to tear the women apart, but a strong bond, is impenetrable... to an extent. These characters throughout show many traits that feel very real and some even make mistakes that hit you right in the gut. Also, if you're looking for in-depth sex talk, this has it in spades. It does not feel generic in the slightest with each character complimenting... aspects of the others body. There is one line that is very memorable, to say the least.
The art is absolutely phenomenal, completely uncensored. And it's not just the sex scenes, you truly get a sense of just how vast this universe is, with buildings in decay, mining tunnels that look like they go on forever, and lands that appear to have been raped of their resources. Character design is memorable, with each woman having a different look, there's a style for (mostly) everyone in here. The art style can be cute, chibi-esque, and at other times, very serious.
Never once did my enjoyment of this waver. The ups and downs, twists and turns, makes this enjoyable from beginning until the end. Very rarely do I get experience something as emotionally-deep and impactful as this. I went into this expecting little in terms of plot and character development, but I got a journey that will surely remain unforgettable...
