Synopsis

Over a decade after the Thousand-Year Blood War, Ichigo Kurosaki lives a peaceful life with his wife Orihime Inoue and their son Kazui. Utilizing the fledgling Soul Reaper powers inherited from his father, Kazui assists those burdened by the deceased much like Ichigo did as a teenager.

One day, Ichigo receives an unexpected call from his married Soul Reaper allies Renji Abarai and Rukia Kuchiki. The couple invites him to take part in the "Konso Reisai"—a ceremony in which a Hollow, an evil spirit from the human world, is sacrificed to honor a Soul Reaper captain who died exactly 12 years prior.

Unbeknownst to Ichigo and his friends, something sinister looms over the Konso Reisai. As Renji meets up with Ichigo to honor the dead, the two are interrupted by the return of an old enemy they never thought they'd meet again.

GOATED.
9/10 best first chapter to an arc in bleach had everything I could ask for
great character introductions
great symbolism with the fish stuff
amazing reveal which was foreshadowed
thematic consistency with the theme of balance
good use of mystery to keep the readers intrested for the upcoming arc
and art on point as always

im assuming this will be like dbz, ichigo being a main focus but kazui is also very relevant like goku and gohan, which is the way to go loved dbz.
before reading I assumed kazui to be a cringe "main character" based on his looks but his mentality seems intresting AND MAN SENT THE SOUL TO HELL?????? read more

Kubo's coming back in full force. Art and story telling is on point. Can't wait to see this new arc unfold.

Story 9/10
Really refreshing and already a lot better than the final chapters of the TYBW arc. It's paced out really well imo. Hell is seeming to be a really nice setting for this new arc. It seems to be carrying the same tone TYBW had. There seems to be a bit here when it comes to lore. Having this one detail revealed really helps with the tone this arc seems to have.

Art 10/10
Great as always. Great designs and amazing fight paneling. The break Kubo took read more

Bleach: No Breathes from Hell is a one shot which takes place after the Bleach manga (which ended in August 2016). It's mainly made for the fans as a celebration for the 15th anniversary of Bleach and that's why I'm mainly reviewing it from a fans perspective. In my opinion Kubo definitely succeeded and for his reason I will try to be spoiler free to not ruin your enjoyment.

Story 8:
The story structure hasn't changed that much, but in this instance it's done well. The story is about balance and Kubo balanced the peaceful moment and the action moment very well. Many who heard the read more

I was quite excited when I heard news of Bleach One shot, despite still having murky after-taste of chaotically written last arc in original manga. And I am happy for many fans who still feel the same, but this seemed as underwhelming revival.

Whole one-shot danced between "hey you are long time fan, you know these people" and "Let's make it totally new". For me, this didn't work out. All the faces I knew felt like complete strangers to me, while newcomers felt gray-ish.

Pacing itself was all over the place. Yes, author wanted to set up base for new arc, but at same time read more
