This story has a formula some people like and some don’t me personally I like the whole strong character but doesn’t show his power, don’t worry he does show it at least once or twice a volume and eventually he knows he is strong.

This light novel is like chivalry of a failed knight there are a lot of similarities; for example a princess from a different kingdom is his slave after losing a duel, and him being dubbed as the “reject swordsman” which is similar to what ikki was

Anyways the story follows a pretty basic plot line there are a multitude of magic academy’s and the most prestigious known as the elite 5 magic academies but at the beginning he was weak and he got stuck getting a duel with a strong student in his middle school academy and since he was dubbed as the “reject swordsman” they thought it would be easy to expel him because he was a waste of space anyways after that a mysterious person offers him the “100 million year button” as you know he pressed it and gained immense power.
The plot is at least somewhat engaging but one of the flaws has to be the villianious organization working to kidnap people for power, it’s really shallow sure there is some mystery behind it but it is pretty easy to just infer anything that is supposed to be mysterious so it just ruins the whole mysterious organization thing.
The romance is really dragged out well you expect that from a harem.
The characters have little to no personality they can all be pretty much summed up in 1 word or 3 words at most you can expect just a plain tsundere, kuudere, or big sister type. Don’t expect any crazy character moments, but you can expect the power ups scenes by the mc pretty often.
