Both manga revolve around a group of girls who attend an art school, and they are both slice-of-life comedies.

Both are slice of life about art students and their life, though Pink Lady has way more romance and drama while Hidamari Sketch is a bit more light-hearted and relaxed.

Both are comedy, slice-of-life yonkoma about four girls, and the main characters are rather similar as well

When I first read Sunshine Sketch it really reminded me of Lucky Star. There four friends who are girls that hang out and do random things. The difference is that in Sunshine Sketch the four girls like art and go to a art high school. You can relate who can be who in the series also. Example Yuno is a lot like Tsukasa because there both shy and quiet at times. If you like comedy and all girls hanging out barely any boys in mangas then I would recommend these! :D

Both about "cute girls do cute things in cute ways" =)

Both are series about the day to day lives of high school girls. They both feature a cast of quirky characters and both have a laid back feeling. Both series also share a similar sense of humor. If you like one you're sure to like the other!

Both are four-panel mangas with about the same wacky brand of humor. Hidamari Sketch is about four high school girls going through the same art school together, and is fairly slow paced. S. S. ASTRO is about four young teachers enduring the plights of being a high school teacher, with lots of humor and little bits of romance thrown in here and there. If you like S.S. ASTRO, then I can almost guarantee you'll like Hidamari Sketch, and vice versa.

The other manga Aoiki Ume is working on. Similar in the sense it is a slice of life manga, but it has an element of fantasy since one of the characters is not quite human.
