Synopsis

Although Akane Ninamori terribly fears ghost stories, her high school's newspaper club tasks her with the investigation of local haunted spots. To overcome her phobia, she enlists the help of Fujino Amemura, a mysterious transfer student who does not have many friends and is often alone. Together, the two girls explore the rumored areas, discovering the mundane reality behind what seems to be nothing but myths.

Yoinosaka—a town of tangled walkways and never-ending staircases—is filled to the brim with otherworldly tales that have stood the test of time. As Ninamori and Amemura's after-school escapades continue and their bond deepens, their harmless exploration may lead them to genuine supernatural presences lurking around forgotten corners.

It is frankly criminal that a review hasn't been written for this series, it doesn't have any major twists (like the ghosts being real or scary or anythin' like series like Toilet Bound Hanako-kun) in the first volume I've read but the art and character interaction between the two more than make up for it. Having an art style both very Moe for its characters and stunning in its watercolor backgrounds. The color chapter especially is an absolute treat. This manga is perfect for something to relax to on a lazy day with some mild Yuri-isms for those into it like ...
