Synopsis

It's the Century of Darkness where monsters known as Vandels rule the world, and the Vandel Busters are the only ones who can fight them. When a group of Busters are killed in battle, they pass on their magic Saiga weapons to Beet, making him the strongest Buster ever. But Beet won't just fight the Vandels—he wants to destroy them and finally end the Century of Darkness.

On October 6, 2006, Boukenou Beet was put on hiatus due to Koji Inada's illness. Furthermore, with the discontinuation of Shounen Jump (Monthly) on June 6, 2007, it was put on an indefinite hiatus instead. To put it bluntly, this is a weird manga in terms of production. But despite that, this little shonen has a lot of charm under its basic exterior. A seemingly normal shonen world that harbors a plethora of action and potential to ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (Unknown/? eps)
If I had to give a short comparison of Beet, it would be throwing the plot of Bleach into the world of DnD. This relation is interesting, considering Bleach started a year prior to Beet, though the story itself is highly comparable to the Hueco Mundo arc, which obviously didn't exist at the time, so the parallelism may simply be coincidence, but it's uncanny.

You exist in a world of hunters called Busters (Soul Reapers,) who exist solely to slay evil beasts called Vandels (Hollows) whose soul existence is to kill humans. However, experienced Busters have the ability to produce a magical weapon, individual to ...
