Shitennou Saijaku Datta Ore. Tensei shita node Heion na Seikatsu wo Nozomu, to say it simply, is a very bad manga. The whole trope of reincarnation while not being an isekai is the only upside to this manga. There is nothing this manga does well, and I would only recommend it if you read manga just for the sake of reading manga.

So let's break down Shitennou Saijaku Datta Ore. Tensei shita node Heion na Seikatsu wo Nozomu into simpler categories.

World Building: 0 / 2

For the whole world to be an entirely different universe than the one we are stuck in, there is little to ... no explanation for what is happening around us. There is no map, no basic geography, and honestly, when you think of the location of how close the beastmen are to the city, it only causes more confusion if you try to piece it together by yourself. The world makes zero sense, and the manga doesn't even try to be interesting in other ways either.

Characters: 0.5 / 2

The characters are predictable and boring. There isn't much to say outside of that. They have no real opinions, outside of the main character, who doesn't want to do anything, but, lo and behold, he's coming to save the day. Your first impression of the characters is the only one you need, as they are about as deep as a cardboard box (that has been flattened).

Plot: 0.5 / 2

This manga might as well be a detective or mystery genre, as the whole thing feels like Sherlock Holmes. Something bad happens, the main character investigates, solves the mystery, and beats up the villain; rinse and repeat. Unimaginative, to say the least.

Pacing: 0 / 2

Pacing? The character starts off as the seemingly strongest being in this universe by, like, the second chapter. There isn't any growth happening here, and if you're looking for anything, you're not finding it here.

Bias: 0.5 / 2

Somewhat original story idea, but that's the only good thing about this manga. Anything that is vital to making a story engaging is entirely missing from this manga, and honestly I just wanted to finish reading it so I would never have to again.

My original rating of 3 compared to my current rating of 1.5 is the truth. This manga is awful, and there are no redeeming qualities. This manga cannot really offer any experience to a reader.
