Once upon a time, I read this manga two to three years ago; at that time, I dropped this much, much sooner than what I’ve now just read. You could say my standards have dropped considerably, but I do think there’s some redeeming qualities about this generic junk pile of a manga. However, those merits get overshadowed by the immense amount of plot convenience and holes.
The absorption or gluttony ability is such an interesting concept, no matter how much time has passed, but it’s never done properly or wisely. This manga is no different; there’s not much explained about it, and there’s the usual

stockpile of irrelevant stats that don’t make sense. For plot’s sake, it’s somewhat unique, but it quickly devolves to cliches and generics with the usual power of friendship and “just in the nick of time” moments during fights or developments.
The characters in this manga aren’t anything special, however, at least for the main cast, their interactions are somewhat entertaining. Every other character though, is as barren as they come with little redeeming qualities.
This manga is the usual isekai, overpowered but not really manga that were ever so prominent during the late 2010s; if you crave that kind of power fantasy, like I just did, then it’s satisfies as a temporary remedy.
