Synopsis

Noel, a youth who admires his grandfather—who was hailed as a hero—aspires to be the strongest Seeker. But his job that appeared in the appraisal, was the support class "Talker." Talker is a job with the weakest individual abilities, a job that could never become the strongest.

"If I create the strongest clan and become the clan master, then I'll essentially be the strongest."

Thinking that, Noel worked hard persistently to fulfill his ambition. On the other hand, the merciless methods he employed for the sake of his ambition were acknowledged by everyone as the path of evil. However, Noel's distinct talent attracted many powerful people and they began to gather under him... This is the story of how the most evil Talker, who seeks to be the strongest, subdues his allies and creates the strongest clan in the world.

If you're into dark and gory manga, this one might catch your eye but don't expect a perfect ride. The story has its gripping moments, but some glaring plot holes might leave you scratching your head. Like, how does this slave, who’s clearly way stronger than most and seems to have more plot armor than the actual MC, still stay a slave? He could easily take out his owner, but here he is, stuck in chains. It just doesn't add up.

The worldbuilding feels a bit lacking too. There’s not much info on how things actually work in this world, which makes it hard to dive ...

To be blunt, I hate it.

First time reading I drop it at chapter 7, but now force myself to read the rest months later because I'm running out of new good titles and I want to check whether I hate it for good reason or not because I think I remember this having a pretty good score in MaL.

It's the kinda standard edgy overpowered Isekai story (even if it isn't an Isekai), but unlike say Redo of Healer (and Bofuri, if we exclude the edgy part), it doesn't give me the tone that it shouldn't be taken so seriously and really suffer because of that.

But ... first, let's start with the good thing.

The art is very good, maybe even great. The design looks cool, the expression feels dynamic, and some of the shots are straight up amazing.

However, oddly enough, I think that actually makes it even worse for me.

Maybe because it just feels like such a waste? Like, I really want to see more of this art style in a manga that isn't this, but at the same I can't stop thinking about this manga if I ever see this art style again? I don't know, I'm stupid. -- I know that having good art should've raised the overall score, but it brings down my enjoyment even more instead.

Now let's rant even more about something else!

I hate the main character. The author tried to make him this cold-hearted Machiavellian character who doesn't care about your feeling, but he's often doing so by pulling something out of their ass.

Minor spoiler, but chapter 7 still pissed me off even today. I won't say what happened exactly, but the author turned what could made a pretty cool story about a morally gray conflict where both sides have a point and butcher it all into a joke by pretty much making the opposition somehow worse in every ways possible through an asspull just to make the main character's action justified. -- Now I'm not saying they're in the right before that, but at least the reason feels more grounded and understandable. Heck, it could even make a pretty cool little side plot/conflict/moment later on. What we have instead, in my opinion, just feels objectively inferior in comparison.

Something similar happens too later on, even if out of the three main plot I remember reading the second one doesn't frustrate me as much because it doesn't have the equal amount of potential (even if the stupidity appalled me) and the third one has a better excuse and they already establish how shitty he is since his introduction.

I think I still have some nitpicks (how much everyone just sucks off the protag's dick, the baddies are all either just stupid or insane and nothing more, etc.) but I think this is it for me.

Overall, I don't recommend it.
