Synopsis

When Ivy was born into this world, she remembered her past life. Remembering her preincarnation, she strove to avoid strife. But fate curdled at the status check, when kids learn who they are. For she had only one skill - Taming - and not a single star.

Ivy was weak from the start - at most, she could tame a slime. And in her world, most people did not give the weak their time. Only one woman in her village would treat her as her own. But after she "died," Ivy got the hint and ran from home.

While on the run, she met a tiny slime and named it Sora. And such begins the heartwarming survival story of a small girl who can tame.

Synopsis:
"The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash" is a Japanese light novel series written by Honobonoru500 and illustrated by Nama. It is a fantasy, adventure, Isakei story with an interesting twist. In normal Isakei the protagonist starts out weak and becomes strong or is strong from the beginning. However, the protagonist (Vanecia) of this manga is born weak and when she is five years old she participates in a ceremony at the church where she is granted the skill of "Tamer" with the lowest level (no stars). After her family finds out that she is starless they decide to shun her and ... verbally abuse her causing her to run away from home because she didn't feel safe. The fortune teller of Latomi village had been helping for three years suddenly died of a simple cold. The village head refused to treat her illness due to her assisting the protagonist. After the fortune teller's death, the protagonist cuts her hair and decides to travel to a city near the capital as a boy (Ivy). During her travels, she tames a Slime (Sora) and befriends an Adandara (large cat). So far this manga has remained true to the protagonist being weak (currently on Chapter 22) while retaining her previous life memories. The world (Ordoguz) that the protagonist finds herself in is one that is dangerous, with a vast amount of kind and good people (none know that she is starless).

The idea of reincarnation isn't original. The unique twist that this author has presented us with is that the protagonist is reincarnated into a baby who finds that she is the weakest person alive. During the Star ceremony, she is granted the tamer skill with no stars.

Plot: 9
The plot of the manga is constructed with a clear, concise, and compelling storyline that has a recognizable main arc with a convincing conflict and crisis. Throughout the storyline, there are several obstacles for the protagonist to overcome with their conflicts, crises, and resolutions.

While exploring themes of reincarnation, fear, corruption, nobility, survival, and how even when weak you have the ability to affect those around you, "The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash" delves into the complexities of societal expectations and the struggles faced by the weak of society as they confront the conventional norms. Through nuanced character development and intricate storytelling, the manga provides a stark yet empathetic glimpse into the life of Ivy a weak tamer who travels across the country making friends and familiars.

I do not speak Japanese but in the translated version that I read, it was very easy to follow and understand what was happening with little to no spelling, grammatical, or punctuation errors

The author is very adept at making you care about what ultimately becomes of the protagonist throughout the manga. The author expresses his passion through the development of the plot and the theme of the manga which is interesting. More specifically, the protagonist is reincarnated as a young girl who is weak with just a tamer skill and no stars.

I love this manga. 10/10 would recomend
Absolutely recomended for a healing manga.
The basic plot is -
There is a young girl whos name is Ivy, she is discoverd to be "starless". A starless person means that the person does not have any skills and since the world is not always fair, Ivy does not even have a second skill. It is an adventure isekai story with a rare and very good premise. Much like [Ascendance of a Bookworm], the story is told from the perspective of someone who is very weak and vulnerable. Which is quite unusual for the isekai genre which is saturated by power fantasies. It is nonetheless very wholesome despite the dire circumstances the protagonist finds herself in.

I recommend this to fans of isekais who want something new, or are just looking for an fantasy story with a female protagonist.
