Unlike Hwang Mi Ri’s usual manhwa ideas consisting of bad boys/delinquents and a beautiful but oh-so-different yet fiery girl, this work focuses on the romance of two seemingly normal and average people. No gangs involved (well, almost) or a never-ending cat and dog chase; they just fall in love naturally.
Alas, this wouldn’t be Hwang Mi Ri’s work if it did not have problems throughout. The romance tries to be pure, but it is behind the back of their respective partners. The main hero had a loving girlfriend, a relationship based on love for once and not force/blackmail/fangirling/etc., while the main heroine had half-heartedly chosen to

go out with someone hoping it would go well. After their fated meeting (and other forced connections they had), none of them breaks up as they start out as friends, but as things get more complicated between them, they just try avoiding their partners. At first it almost seems normal as one would not break up without being completely sure, however, it keeps going on for much longer that it should to the point that his girlfriend is more pitiable than the main characters. Add to that excessively dramatic reactions and predictable, boring twists and there you have it; “Say Say Say”.
The characters had more than enough time to develop decently, but unfortunately they never did. The main hero seems to have a dramatic past and just happens to fall in love with the girl who conveniently seems to understand him on a deeper level. Whereas, the main heroine is a very average girl with no strong personality, who just could not be true to herself and those around her making it hard to support her. Instead of giving their own spin in the story, they managed to make themselves look bad to the readers. Even through some dramatic events, they seem one-dimensional since their thoughts are always too simple. Sadly, the rest of the cast did not have any better treatment either; everything is solved with a new love, apparently.
Overall, I cannot say I liked this. As always with her works, it is easy to read but the concept behind this one just did not work when the cheated people were more in the right than the cheaters throughout the story. There was even a hint of music in this, as the main hero is supposedly a singer, but nothing came out of it, which is a pity. The art is nothing special either; proportions and poses are always a bit weird-looking and there is not much detail. Definitely not memorable, but in the end the manhwa is not really memorable in any way.
