Main male lead has parents issues.
Main male seems cold but is actually sweet and kind.
Good looking characters.
Main lead guys are famous for their good looks and have many fan girls.
Two male leads, one of them is the main lead and the other one is second lead.
Main male lead is a popular, introverted and intelligent guy.
Second lead is also a popular guy who hangs out with delinquents and sleeps in class.
Overall both these manhwas are quite similar.

Both are about ugly girls (ito society's standards) using makeup to become pretty and features a makeup contest. This inevitably opens up opportunities for the mangas to comment on the makeup industry and 'beauty'.

True Beauty had a crisper style. It also commented less on controversial topics in comparison to Makeup Remover. The MC of True Beauty is the makeup artist which is not the case in Makeup Remover. While both showcased really cool looks, True Beauty's looks remained pretty while Makeup Remover featured a few less conventionally pretty looks.

I definitely think these two stories fixate on beauty in terms of the female lead changing looks . The only difference with True Beauty is that the female lead didn't have plastic surgery whereas the female lead in Cinderella in Plastic did have plastic surgery.

Dramatic Irony addpermalink

Features two male leads who are a bit frustratingly but a bit too human at the same time. It's one of the rare times both have a chance to steal your heart (or you may stab their hand with a plastic fork in frustration to how stupid they are.) The art is pretty, and the plot is pretty similar with this crazy temptation to keep flipping the page even though you don't want to. It's filled with insecurities and are a psychological..roller coaster-- even though neither are serious or particularly emotional. A somehow 5/10 plot that has a 7 or 8/10 read value.
