You know, this manga had some serious potential solely due to its mesmerizing artstyle and character design, however, the lack of’s and the non avoidance of cliches in the plotline makes this manga rather boring and stale, as it follows the same guideline or concept of every manga ever while trying to introduce more and more characters in an awkward manner.
There’s nothing but mixed feelings revolving around all of the characters; the mc is a rather nice change-up from the usual “loser-boy” personality, and he undergoes some massive progression in his resolve and determination in the proceeding chapters. As for the side characters, their

introductions never make sense, as the author makes each character introduction sporadically and randomly, coming whenever the plot needs to be driven. Despite the awkward introductions, each character does get well-established and developed, which is quite nice, and their designs are absolutely stunning.
The plot of the manga is relatively basic, causing the manga to really linger behind in any seriousness or attention-grabbing moments that a well-built manga has. The plot follows the basic guideline and formula of every power creep, demon lord candidate story, and it doesn’t change from that; once one event is solved, another one comes, blah, blah, blah. There’s also quite a lot of filler chapters in the manga where nothing of importance happens, which is quite disappointing due to manga’s already slow pacing, aiding to the manga’s lingering boredom.
If not for the characters and the stunning designs/artstyle, this manga is nothing but another yawn-fest of a demon lord candidate story. The character chemistry is nice and all, however, the plot causes this manga to get relatively stale quickly — if you want to read this, then be prepared for some slow-progressing chapters and events, only to be repeated again and again.
