Synopsis

Japan in the time of the Meiji dynasty is a country in transition, torn and dominated by exploitation and moral decline.
Lady Snowblood want's to leave her bloody past behind her and is working under the name Kashima Yuki in a girl's grammar school where she teaches Swedish gymnastics... but conservative political forces are like a thorn in their side, and Yuki must again take up arms to keep the promise she gave to her life-saver.

Mixed Feelings
I have somewhat mixed feelings about this sequel to Lady Snowblood:

On the one hand, the protagonist feels much more human and relatable here, having left behind her life as an impassive assassin and now getting involved with the problems of others. Moreover, this work doesn't have episodic / independent chapters, and because all of them contribute to a single overarching plot, the story moves way faster and feels more dynamic than its predecessor.

On the other hand, the whole story centered around Swedish gymnastics feels a bit weak and silly compared with the revenge plot of the first part: I understand that after the strong closure ...
