Synopsis

Twenty years ago, Yuuichi Aizawa suffered through insurmountable bullying, ultimately culminating in him dropping out of middle school. Riddled with the signs of cigarette butts and gouged out skin, Aizawa's body is a testament to what he was forced to endure. All this time, he has not forgotten those who turned a blind eye or those who laughed in glee, but the memory of none lingers quite as vividly as Shinji Suzuki, the ringleader of his tormentors. With a successful career, lovely wife, and cheerful daughter, Suzuki is living life to the fullest, never facing adversity. However, he is unaware that his daughter, Shiori, has recently been assigned a new homeroom teacher—Aizawa himself.

Holding onto the pain of his past, Aizawa has his own agenda for how to handle his class. Meanwhile, Suzuki claims that it is the fault of the victim who suffers from bullying, too weak to stand up for themselves. But will he be able to say the same when his loved one becomes the next victim?

Story: This manga follows a teacher encountering his childhood bully's daughter's bullying problem, 20 years later. This is a revenge story with some good suspense and good art. Some things like "Sensei smiles when he's lying" add to the story a lot, where the aurthor can convey that he's lying without saying directly what he's lying about or what he's thinking. What makes this manga particularly satisfying is that unlike Raul Evans where he enacts revenge, Aizawa-san simply shows people what the bad actors are like and lets society do the rest. i jusat finish reading it, i have it for a long time as a tab on my browser but once i started i finish it in one night

i read it at 01/01/2023 at my 29 years while starting to make a life for myself after living so many years with social anxiety after getting bullied in school and in university, i dont know if i would recomend it but if you start reading and have a past getting bullied dont go to sleep until you read til the end

I do not recommend this manga. I understood the author's intention with this work, but I believe they approached such an important topic in society, like bullying, in the wrong way.

This manga left me quite uncomfortable. It made it seem like I was reading a manga about revenge instead of a critique of society and the way bullying behaves within schools (for the most part).

Again, I understood what the author was trying to convey, but I believe that such a complex subject should be approached differently.

Having said that, I do not recommend this manga.
