Synopsis

Ever since birth, Haruma Ichinose has been a very popular boy. Blessed with charming looks, he has allured most of the girls' attention toward him. However, this attention is taken away by Yuki Mogami, a tall girl in his class. Despite being female, Yuki holds princely characteristics—endearing, cool, and incredibly handsome—leading Haruma to instantly fall in love with her.

Unwilling to acknowledge his own feelings, Haruma claims to be overly annoyed at Yuki's captivating looks. Wanting to prove that he is cooler than her, he puts on a masculine demeanor to make her fall for him. But the more he attempts to attract Yuki, the more he appears as a heroine to her! Will Haruma's efforts ever reach the oblivious prince charming's heart?

She's My Knight is a very cute and lighthearted parody story that swaps the "roles" that are traditionally found in shoujo manga (the heroine needing rescuing, and the hero that rescues). It is an incredibly fun and sweet read that'll have you laughing and smiling throughout! I really loved the humor in this manga that lightly pokes fun at silly, well-known shoujo tropes. The characters were also incredibly fun, featuring a tsundere boy and a cute yet dependable girl.

If you're looking for an enjoyable read with likeable characters, engaging scenes, an easy to digest plot, and an overall great time that will leave you feeling warm, 'She's My Knight' is perfect.

With three volumes, the series can be consumed in one sitting and can be done so without bore. Each character is entertaining and fulfils an archetype that compliments the commentary on romantic cliche's that the series is. And these cliche's are presented as a subversion of the norm, making the series familiar and new at the same time.

Fans of sweet, fluffy, comedic romances will undoubtedly fall in love with this manga series.
