This is a love story, but more than that this is a story about self actualization and the various struggles that come with being a people pleaser. There's a depth of character development that is truly phenomenal, and the way they explore their character arcs feels very insightful.
The romance itself is very tame, with the couple barely kissing each other for the majority of their time dating. Physical intimacy takes a back seat to the earnest emotional support they both give each other, and you really feel the love in the relationship.
Both characters are very likable, and their interactions with the supporting cast is also

well written. In the latter half the story focuses on the love interest's relationship with his emotionally controlling mother, and that bit is So Uncomfortable in such a good, realistic way. (People with mom trauma might want to emotionally prepare yourself for that though, 'cause ouch.)
The art is endearing, the humor is pretty fun, the and the story and character writing both feel emotionally intelligent and well fleshed out. This isn't the most memorable story, but it's very well written.
