Synopsis

Dennis is one of the most popular members of the Silverwing Battalion, the world's strongest party. So popular, in fact, that the party leader expels him from the group out of spite.

Stripped of his home, Dennis decides to start life anew following his true calling—as a chef! His life as an adventurer might be over, but his new life as a cook is just beginning. He teams up with Atelier, a young girl who has been similarly exiled from her home, and opens up a restaurant for adventurers.

He's finally able to live out his dream, but he'll need use of more than just his cooking skills to take care of his eclectic customers' problems!

Welcome to the Cheap Restaurant of Outcasts! is a manga that has no right to be this good. Reading the synopsis, you probably wondered if this is a ripoff of Rising of the Shield Hero, and while there are some overlaps, including being "betrayed" and kicked out of a party, buying a slave girl companion, etc. Cheap Restaurant is actually fun to read.

The overarching plot is not too deep, but if you want to have a lighthearted escape into some adventurers eating Japanese diner food and becoming friends, this is fine to spend a morning or afternoon on. The MC is OP, but it's ...

As a manga that was meant to be a filler read in between my time of catching up on all of my manwhas, I expected near to nothing from this manga, however, it pleasantly surprised me with resounding and memorable/likable characters despite there being some cliche plot points and developments; however, it pains me to say this, but the once enjoyable and obsessive-worthy manga has lost its plot.

Absolutely terrible. MC saves a different girl each chapter and then feeds her... Yes, it's that stupid. It's also been done a thousand times before and much better. No stakes here at all. Just a random dude encountering random girls to build his harem, and he occasionally cooks food. I can't even imagine who this is made for since it's very light on fanservice and has no story to speak of. I'm guessing this falls under the slice-of-life category, but strangely it contains no comedy...so I'm baffled as to what value we are supposed to get from this.
