This series is amazing. If you like the post-apocalyptic word of I am a Hero, the political intrigue of Sanctuary, or the existential ideas of AoT of Promised Neverland, this is for you. Note that the series is slower than any of these except maybe Sanctuary (which I love), and it has its share of "village life" downtime. Its basically like if animal crossing or harvest moon was a manga but with the Siberian exploration of the Metro/Stalker series, Phoenix Wright court battles as well as cannibals and war.
The art style is wonderfully unique and is a perfect antidote to these overly cutesy digitalized
...
art styles common these days.
A previous reviewer complained that the MC had savior complex, and he's right, but the MC was not supposed to be morally perfect like other series. As this post-apocalyptic primitive world gets more advanced, we get to see the MC become corrupted and more like the man he was 500 years ago who he claimed he is not anymore (which is clearly not true). Apparently he was kind of an asshole before the ice age hit, which is a boon for his friends in village politics, and he completely changes the places he stays at from the ground up, as a sort of caveman venture capitalist.
The only real complaint I have is that the technology is progressing too fast. We went from seeing them use massive rocks as money to creating a parliament, voter ID and hunter-killer drones in a few chapters lol.
