Both are wholesome stories that surround a parental figure slowly unlearning their subconscious biases against LGBT+, while becoming more aware of the microaggressions they've often overlooked, through the empathy for their own LGBT+ family member. 

Both series revolve around a mother as a protagonist and her pov concerning her son she cares about who is different from the majority of other people in society. They are both slice-of-life series that have an optimistic tone while also feeling realistic and relatable. They deal with family drama and school life and a mother doing her best to help her child grow up. 

Both feature a main gay (or probably gay) teenage boy who has a crush on a (probably) straight friend and struggles with coming out to his family. 

I Think My Son Is Gay and The Girl Without a Face are two slice-of-life gag manga originally posted onto Twitter, so the chapters are relatively short and can make for a quick fun read. Although the former features LGBTQ+ representation and the latter features supernatural/yokai theming, these two manga are relatively wholesome takes on relationships and the type of people the characters like. Great for those without too much time but need some laughs.
